Noah makes a $44 million dollar box-office debut weekend. Knocking off Divergent from the top spot at the box office. This movie does not follow all the biblical elements that it seemed to when the movie was first announced, but as a stand alone movie that does not connect itself to the biblical story of Noah may have sat better with everyone. I see the name and story of Noah being used to promote something very different. In my honest opinion I would have enjoyed the movie better if it was either more of the biblical story or less of it all together. Because in my book where it stands there is honestly to much of both pulling on each other throughout the film.
"Aronofsky takes the central elements of the Biblical narrative and expands the story, as artists are called to do, to allow the audience to witness not a historical world but a metaphorical universe where the choices of humanity disrupt the sacred divine rhythm of creation." - Huffington Post by Rev.
