RIP Hal Douglas: Movie Trailer Voice Guy

Hal Douglas, a veteran voice-over actor has died. The New York Times and MTV News report that the actor passed away earlier this week at the age of 89, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Hal's voice filled the movie screens for over two decades.

His voice introduced us to Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in "Men in Black", Will Ferrell in "Stranger than Fiction", and Emma Thompson as "Nanny McPhee". And even though it's hard to find the disembodied narrator in movie trailers nowadays, what he left behind will always be remembered.

In honor of Hal Douglas here is one of his greatest voice-overs:

"Men In Black"
His strongest line: "Protecting the earth from the scum of the universe"
